Just tryin’ out some new things in the studio, messin’ with different styles and techniques… It’s so easy for an artist to get set in his/her ways, fall so deeply into a zone of comfort where everything is familiar and eventually becomes just a reproduction of your older material. Abel knows that a true artist must always find ways to reinvent him/herself and push outside of the frames of comfort. It is when you place yourself into a new surroundings with unfamiliar tools that your ideas thrive and mind starts working creatively again. You gotta push yourself, no one else will. Originality and authenticity comes from within, look inwards before expressing yourself outwards.
