When they weren’t making girls literally pee themselves at the concerts, The Beatles enjoyed some down-time with Abel. He’s the one who would take them on the long ocean-exploring trips in his yellow submarine, he never knew why the guys liked it so much… Anyway, just before one of their major shows, Paul was explaining to Abel how the first lyrics to “Yesterday” were actually “Scrambled eggs”. He just used that phrase to hum the tune so he wouldn’t forget it, luckily another moment of inspiration came later on, and “Scrambled eggs” became “Yesterday”. And guess where they had found Abel? Well, in the strawberry fields, of course.
